Understanding Medicare and all its parts can be truly mind-boggling. I had worked in the healthcare field for 30+ years, and when I recently retired, I had trouble wrapping my head around Medicare. I had received a book a while back called Medicare It’s That! At the time, I was not ready to apply but held on to the book. When I recently decided to retire, I followed a colleague's recommendation for an agent, and it turned out to be a disaster. They did not respond to me, and when they did, they offered no guidance. I dug out the book that I had received and started reading it. It was very informative and helped me understand the decisions I needed to make. I looked at the cover and saw Keven Paden’s name and contact information. Given my experience with the other agent, I called him. He responded almost immediately and, within a few days, set up an appointment to meet. He listened to me and provided guidance. He recently helped me enroll in a supplemental plan and a Part D prescription plan. The process was very smooth. I am now good to go. When my wife turns 65 next year, we will be calling Kevin again.

I was bombarded with Medicare information as I approached 65. I must have received 35+ mailings. But, by far, the book Kaci sent was the best resource for me.
As a result, I wrote to Kaci to set up an initial appointment. I had just received some VA benefits which was another wrinkle in the plan. Kaci handled it all very easily and gave me an excellent option that was best for my needs and that traveled with us to Tampa. We did this all in a couple of email exchanges and a short 20-minute call.

I thought the book Jeff sent out was wonderful. Jeff Bartkowiak helped me through some of the items I didn't understand. He also helped me work through some of the computer issues I had. Kevin helped me from start to finish to get the best offering in the Medicare Advantage plans. Since I would be receiving Tricare For Life, this was uncharted territory for me. I didn’t want to pay for the full Medicare costs monthly as that adds up. The first year was so smooth with the enrollment process and there were no glitches. TriCare for life kicked in without any issues. Doctors, dentists, and all specialists were in-network. When the open enrollment period came up Kevin again helped me get the best plan with all medical offices still in-network with the new advantage plan. Having someone that understands both the Medicare plans and the military plans and how they work together is a real plus.

About nine months before my husband and I turned 65 and he was retiring from his full-time job we knew we were going to have to apply for Medicare and get a new medical insurance plan. There was so much information out there that it was overwhelming and difficult to determine the best plan to meet our medical needs and financial budget. We did receive the booklet on Medicare from, It's That Time with Kaci Paden, and explained in such a way that it made sense out of a complicated matter. It is something we keep on hand and refer back to it whenever there is another question we have.

Over the weekend some things came to light about my current Medicare plan. I started feeling upset because I wished I was still on my last plan which was discontinued for 2026. I sent off a somewhat strongly worded email to Jeff Bartkowiak late last night and this morning he called me to explain everything again in detail and helped me switch back to my old carrier.
He patiently reviewed every single prescription I'm currently taking, reviewed every service and detailed the difference between co-pays and co-insurance. With very little input from us Kevin came up with the perfect fit for our coverage needs that were all fully explained and offered a selection of choices. We never felt that we were steered into something that seemed forced. I would not recommend trying to do this on your own given there is no reason to do that and without the assistance from agents like Kevin and agencies such as ItsThatTime to help guide you through this very complicated set of important choices you have to make in a reasonably short amount of time in your life, we wouldn't have been in the position we were to have such excellent coverage that we did, for the price we ended up paying for excellent coverage.

What stood out to me was that this book was by far the best information I had read, it was concise, clear, and easy to understand.
